Just before Charles Wallace, Meg Murry's little brother, falls sick, he spots dragons in the garden. In actuality, these are Proginoskes; beings made from wings, eyes, wind, and flame. Meg and Proginoskes, with help from Meg's friend Calvin, must voyage inside Charles Wallace to save him. They seek to vanquish the Echthroi - the ones who loathe - and renew the song of the universe with brilliant joy and harmony.
